I took my 5D MK2 for issues with CF card pin pushed inside and the camera won't start if a CF card is loaded. I had quotes from different places and most of them suggest replacing the whole board for about $600. Cal was very confident that he can fix this without replacing the board and he did an amazing job with it and everything was working as should post reparis and he saved me $350 by doing this.. The best part is that he did it in less than 24hrs :-) I have been using the camera for the past few days and no issues what so ever.. Thanks Cal.

Took my 60D and Sigma 17-70 f/2.8 to the beach a while back. The lens became full of fine sand. Took it to the authorized Sigma repairer and was told cost of repairs would be more than replacement cost. Thinking it was a write-off, I decided to have a go pulling it apart myself. But I had no idea what I was doing. Took into Cal's in a million pieces and he put his heart into it, fixing all my stupid mistakes and got it back good as new for about a quarter of replacement price. What a legend :)

I smashed my Gopro 4 lens and broke some of the ribbons attempting to repair it myself. This is when I contacted Carl who replaced the lens and repaired the damage I had done for a cheap price. Gopro works good as new.

I recently took my DSLR in for a sensor clean after a failed attempt to do it myself. I was very happy with the result. The mirror box and two lenses were even cleaned for no extra charge!

Was on holiday in Perth area over Christmas period and my Canon EOS D 500 focus lens fell out and camara was usable. Contacted Cal.s camara and he arranged to look at it and repair, I was only here for a few days and he not only fixed it and cleaned it it actually work better after it was returned. Excellent service , unable to comment on price as from UK and don't know rates for Australia but was pleased with what I was charged.

Had a small repair issue that needed fixing on my Canon 6d. The program plate fell off the dial. I sent an e-mail to Cal this morning and he answered my query promptly. I was able to take my camera in early this afternoon and pick it up after an hour. His pricing for the service - VERY, very good!
I'd highly recommend Cal for your next camera repair. Thanks for the great service Cal.

Day before a trip away my canon 7d stopped working. Urgently called around all the camera repair shops in perth and explained the symptoms of my issue. Not only did they say it would take a few weeks, have to be sent away to canon and be expensive just to get a quote, they had no idea where the problem was. I tried one more repair shop, Cal's Camera Repairs. I explained my issue, he knew exactly where the problem was and said that he could guarantee it would be fixed and ready today. Upon pickup, the camera was completely repaired, fully serviced and had also had the flash repaired within a day of calling. A great service for a low fee.

I have used Cal's Camera Repairs twice now for my fairly old Sony HDV Video Camera and he has been able to fix the issue promptly and at a reasonable price. He always answers the phone and is very knowledgable about all things cameras. He also cleaned the lenses of my Sony NEX-5 mirrorless and did a sterling job! I'd highly recommend him.

Cal was able to fix my Lumix GH3 faulty back display without having to replace the screen itself but just a wire leading to the main board. Nice service !

Fantastic service, knowledge and cheap!
I had a problem with my camera and wasn't sure what was wrong. I called around and asked different repair places including Canon itself. Cal was the only purpose who was able to give an idea of what was wrong.
To put things in to context, Canon quoted a $50 assessment fee, repair costs and delivery charges on top of this all payable by me and taking a minimum of around 2-3months. Cal gave me a free assessment, and was honest enough to say it's more worthwhile to get a new camera.
To put something else in to context. I wanted to get my camera sensor cleaned. Various camera houses quoted $80 to clean and it would also take a day. Cal cleaned my sensor for $55 and did it within an hour. For a working professional photographer this kind of service is invaluable!
Thanks Cal, will definitely recommend you and will come back with any future problems.

Got my canon macro lens wet when my underwater housing flooded.
Got some crazy quotes to repair it and was told it was probably only good for going in the bin.
gave Cals camera repair a call... Seemed confident he could help me ...Very friendly and opened her up for me and got it back from the dead at a very reasonable price.
Very happy ... Would highly recommend to anyone!

I can highly recommend Cal for the camera repair services he renders. I was experiencing some problems which when taking it into a well known camera repairer which came highly recommended for my particular camera, was given a very high quote and told that it would take quite a while before I could get my camera back. I thought I'd give Cal's a call to see what he could do for me. What a pleasant surprise. He not only quoted me a very reasonable price but managed to get my camera repaired over a matter of days! I am extremely pleased and am really happy to have him as my "go to camera guy" if ever I should encounter any other problems again. Thanks once again Cal Wayne.

I dropped my Nikon 18-200 lens on a trip overseas and it no longer focuses from 70 to 200mm. Brought it in to Cal’s repair shop for an estimate to repair the lens. Unlike other camera repair places I have been to before, I got to talk to the owner and repairer instead of a person on the shop front! Before taking it apart, Cal advised that it could cost upwards of $500 if replacement parts are needed but he would take a look at it and get back to me. I understand Cal took the lens apart and tried, unsuccessfully, to free up the focus mechanism. As the replacement part would cost more than half the price of a new second generation Nikon 18-200 lens, I decided not to proceed with the repair. For all that work, Cal did not charge me anything, not even an assessment fee. Additional, Cal indicated that he would advise me if he becomes aware of a similar lens that could be salvaged for parts to repair mine. We certainly do not see that kind of service anymore!
